The classic, the almighty, Wingstop. A London institution that is held in the highest regard. Let’s dive in and see what these guys have to offer.
Let’s start with the burger, the backbone of the meal. Don’t get me wrong, this was by no means bad, it was just … fine. the chicken itself was really very thin, there was a lot more bun than anything else. Even though there wasn’t a huge amount of chicken, it was really pretty good. Nice and juicy will a really nice, balanced flavor. The sauce was there .. I think, there should have been a lot more.
Now for the real star of the show. These wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled and absolutely doused in sublime sauce. Just looking at these is making my keyboard soaking wet with dribble. If you can handle the heat, you have to get the hottest sauce, it is well worth the pain.
Fast food fries are hit or miss. By that I mean they often either hit the bin or miss it entirely. These guys aren’t going anywhere near the bin. They were packed full of flavor, the crunch and crisp was devine. These are the best chips I have ever had from a takeaway.
Conclusion – Wingstop
Even though Wingstop is the go to for many Londoners, it shouldn’t be. Don’t get me wrong it’s good, the wings especially are really good, but it does not deserve the top spot. If you are walking past one of their spots and fancy something to eat, give it a go, you will have a nice meal. I wouldn’t go out of my way to order this again.
