Itsu

Lunch in the city, a favourite pastime of mine and a very popular one with people who work there. So why is it that Itsu is so popular? Lets have a look at see if it’s worth the hype.

The entrance to itsu

I love the big sticker on the front; “eat beautiful for free”. Let’s ignore the fact that it is one of the most overpriced eats in the entirety of the city, the app that allows you to “eat free” is totally broken. I tried to redeem one of the promos, but I was told that the store didn’t support the app (even though it was marked on the app compatible map). Waste of time.

Drumroll please … this is the ‘food’ I was presented with. It was meant to be udon with a katsu sauce, it was more like sewage with soy sauce. everything that wasn’t meant to be limp was limp and everything that wasn’t meant to be tough was tough. The biggest compliment I can give to this dish is that it was warm.

Conclusion – Itsu

It should go without saying that Itsu should be re-named shitsu. The best way I could sum this up would be shit food and broken promises. It is not worth it at all for the money, there are plenty of options out there, just take those five extra mins to walk to somewhere you haven’t been before.
