Inamo seems like a chain that doesn’t have much of an identity. In Soho its a strange game bar, in canary wharf its a ramen and very limited sushi bar. None the less, we are going to try out the canary wharf ‘street food market’ version of Inamo.
“winners best street food uk” I wonder who the adjudicating body was? HBSC? The Rothschild food awards? The reason for the unnecessary sarcasm is when you charge £14 for a bowl of noodles its not exactly street food. I would also like you to note that at almost every other stall had queues, except for this one.
So this is the final result, an ‘award winning’ £14 bowl of ramen. Before I fucking explode with rage, here are the good parts. It was ok, the broth wasn’t too bad and the noodles were springy but very very narrow. That’s it, that is where the good ends. For the price and quantity of food, I would expect far more from every aspect of this.
What I mean is I wouldn’t mind paying £100 for a nugget if it was the most beautiful thing I had ever consumed in my life. Therefore for £14 for a measly portion, I would expect a hell of a lot more. It is very easy for me to say I will never be returning.
Conclusion – Inamo
Yet another pathetic stab at commercializing the term ‘street food’ which allows them to slap an outrageous price tag on the top. It is quite frankly embarrassing to charge this obscene amount for such a small amount of average food. This is going to be a strong avoid.
