In the Heart of Oxford city, the Gardeners Arms is a little veggie pub that is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the City. You would miss it if you didn’t know where it was, but luckily I was given a tip off. I have to say the surrounding area really is beautiful, and absolutely enhances the general vibe of the pub.
From outside to inside the Gardeners Arms is great. Every aspect of it exudes the vibe it is trying to give off, a little bit messy, a little bit old school but with a breath of new life that runs through it. If you go just for a drink you will be pleased too, the drinks on offer, whilst expensive, are well worth it. There are beers that I have never seen before, I tried … a few, and they were all great.
I have been here a few times and it is a shame this is the only photo I have currently, but these are the dirty fries. It’s good for TGA that this is the only photo as it is by far the best thing that they do, by a mile. The second time I went really wasn’t nearly as good. Which will be reflected in the final score.
The Gardeners Arms
As a pub, this place is a must visit, hands down. If you don’t mind the occasional annoying student (I don’t think anyone fits into that category) then it might be the best pub in oxford. If you are a little tipsy and get the food, you will be pleased, but unfortunately, that is as far as it goes.
