A ramen house in the middle of Soho, decorated with awards. There are plenty of ramen places around London so the competition is tight, what makes it worse for a lot of places is that the standard (or at least in my experiences) is generally pretty good. So can Kanada-Ya compete with the rest?

The entrance, a really nice stylish place. I understand that these places need to fit in as many people as possible to make a profit so there is a level of leniency when it comes to how close you have to be seated next to strangers. The only non food related issue I have was my server he was quite forceful and a little … smelly, which was quite off-putting.
Tonkotsu, my favourite. I mean look at at egg, cooked to perfection. The broth too, almost perfect. It was incredibly creamy and thick, packed full of flavor. The pork was good, but it was the weakest part of the dish, a little dry but other than that, really pretty good.

Conclusion – Kanada-Ya
This place was great, adding another string to London’s bow of great ramen places. When you include the price too, it really does make for a fantastic, affordable meal, with something on the menu for everyone. If you are in soho and need something to eat, take the time out to visit this Kanda-Ya, you will not be disappointed.
