The Salad Project

Counting the theme of salads and healthy eating – we are tying out a new location; The Salad project. I tumbled upon this place a while ago but never went in, a new branch opened near me so I thought I would give it a go, so, was it any good? Let’s find out!

The entrance. Clean simple and understated. Or if you are a normal human being, incredibly pretentious. Clearly the brain child of some tech CEO’s who had a conversation in a queue for a salad and thought: ‘we could make some money from this’. I think those same people are the intended demographic for this place too.

This was the line … and the demographic, see, I am always right about these things. I was looking up and the menu and all of the prices are conveniently too small to see from a distance. The menu is also really quite confusing, you can make your own salad (no price guide) or get one of the pre-made ones with some variations? no idea, rubbish.

Right, let’s get the good out of the way first. This was the best salad I have ever had in my life. The bad? it was as much as a really expensive main course in a nice restaurant. After I paid I genuinely felt like I had been robbed. If there was tones of salad it would be slightly less offensive, but the portion was measly, and that is being generous.

The Salad Project – Conclusion

Absolute highway robbery. It stinks of tech CEO, in terms of it’s both built by tech bros, and tech bros are who they feed on, nepotism cannibalism. I hate everything that The Salad Project stands for: Disgustingly overpriced, pretentious, measly food. I will never ever go here ever again, I can’t quite believe how appalling this experience has been.
