By complete chance, whilst walking through Greenwich market, I said “I would love nothing more than a hot dog”, my prayers were answered. I swung around to notice this nirvana of low quality cooked meat, stuffed into intestine. Were my prayers really answered? Was Sausiology really the answer to my prayers?

In the hussle and bustle of the market this place doesn’t really stand out, there wasn’t much of a queue either. I think that may be because of the family who were stood in front of me (not pictured) who were arguing persistency with the amount of sauce that was being put on their hot dogs, I needed that dog, I waited out the fight.
This was the cooking station, nothing major. What was nice was that the stuff apologized for the delay, we then had a chat about how it wasn’t their fault. On a serious note with these kinds of stalls a little bit of interaction really does go a long way.

These were the dogs. As you can see from their appearance, they aren’t your traditional dog. The fact that the stall has sausage in its name should have been a bit of an indicator to me, but that’s on me. They were fine, nothing outstanding but also not bad. I feel like the sausages were mid-tier ones from a supermarket. The buns were also very cold and pretty dry.
Conclusion – Sausiology
If you are looking for a hot dawg, Sausiology is not the solution. If you, for some reason, really want an average quality sausage in a hot dog bun, make it at home for 0.1% of the price. There is nothing about this experience that would make me want to come back and try this again, it’s a no from me.
