Falafel Highbury

As tome goes on there are fewer and fewer places that offer a nice snack for local piss heads late at night. Its often very expensive or tastes like shit, in some cases its both. One day I was in a bad situation and needed to re-fuel, I had take a risk and try this place out.

This place was a nice little hole in the wall. There were quite a few people waiting to grab one of these, always a good sign. The menu was simple, only a handful of options but that, for me, is another encouraging sign. If you can do one thing well, why not double down on that, instead of offering things that aren’t quite up to scratch.

Admittedly this isn’t the finest bit of photography I have ever done, but I really wanted to highlight the wrap, it was fantastic. The bread was really nicely made, full of flavour but really well constructed. The only downside to this was the sauce. Don’t get me wrong, it was very nice, it is just that most of it ended up down my jacket and my trousers. Not a great look given it was a yoghurt based sauce.

Great, just great. The flavours were well well balanced in this little chap, pickle, spice and everything nice. The falafel was fantastic too, it’s got to be made in house. I really cant recommend one of these enough , it was priced incredibly well, healthy and really tasty.

Falafel Highbury – Conclusion

You don’t come access these places too often, the holy trifecta of a great meal. Well priced, healthy and tasty. If you are in the area and fancy a quick bite, don’t pass this place up.
