Right that’s it, its time for a fight. I have been far too positive as of late, it’s time to review a shitter. Korean BBQ is without a doubt one of the biggest trends in restaurants at the moment, therefore there are going to be a hell of a lot of places that have opened up just to take advantage of this, but also some genuine and nice places. Let’s see which one this is.
Starter for 10, when you book somewhere and they require a £50 deposit, it is not the best first impression. Not only this there were quite a few people waiting outside, so even if I wasn’t able to make it, they wouldn’t have lost out. To add to this, it may take UP TO A WEEK to refund the money, this is an unacceptable practice, honestly enough to make me not want to ever some back.
As I have said before chicken karaage is a really good litmus test for a new place. Korean BBQ House did deliver with this one. Great flavours on this one, excellent quality too, the primary issue is that it was really greasy, as you can see in the photo.
To give it to Korean BBQ House, their kimchi was incredible. The pickle flavour and the spice were perfect, even if you aren’t a fan of either, they are significant enough to enjoy, but not so overpowering you wouldn’t like it.
When the main show arrived, the actual BBQ itself, this is where the pain started. The meat was insanely expensive, if you pay a premium for meat, you expect it to be top tier, this wasn’t, even in the slightest. The veg itself was also pathetic, no flavour at all, the quality was also pretty poor, it seemed to just be filler so you don’t get so upset that you have spent a fortune on lacklustre meat.
Korean BBQ House – Conclusion
Even before you sit down, £50 may or may not enter back into your bank account in the next week. After that, you will be extorted for low quality meat and veg. The veg is only there to wipe your tears away from the raid on your bank account this place is going to be undertaking, as they certainly aren’t for eating. None of that is for me thank you very much.
