Avery Café

The famous Oxford street, the place to go if you are looking to get ripped off on the high street. This is true not just for the retail side of things, but also the culinary. Having said that, are there places that can provide good value for the average diner? Let’s see what Avery Café has to offer.

There are quite a lot of little cafes in Oxford Street. I have been in a fair few of them, only so swiftly exit after being absolutely shafted after being charged £6 for a small coffee. So initially I was somewhat sceptical, but I was greeted by some incredibly friendly staff who were eager to make recommendations, talk about some special dishes they were putting together and even let me sample some of the sandwich fillings.

This was my first visit to Avery Café, so I wanted to take it slowly, going with a salted beef panini. This was divine, everything tasted fresh, the breath was nice and crusty, the cheese, full of flavour and delightfully stringy. This has to be one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, truly fantastic.

Avery Café – Conclusion

If you find yourself near Avery Café, and you don’t mind spending a little more than a meal deal for a fantastic lunch. The staff are really friendly and inviting who seem like they have a passion for what they are doing, and are proud of what they have built; as they should be. In a sea of scams Avery Café really stand out.
